Dr RK Tyagi, Doctorate in Management Studies, is an expert with The Peninsula Foundation (TPF). He is currently the Independent Director on Board of Air India and head of Board Sub- Committee on operational safety, NRC and HRD. He has served several important positions in the past including Head of Marketing and Head of AIr Logistics at ONGC, CMD at Mini Navaratna company Pawan Hans Helicopters Ltd and Chairman of Navaratna company Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.
Dr Tyagi received his Doctorate in Management Studies from Agra University, U.P. He has completed Advanced Leadership Course in 2005 from Indian School of Business (I.S.B.), Hyderabad. He is also a distinguished alumni at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee where he completed his Bachelors of Engineering in Electronics & Communication in 1975.
He is an expert in Corporate governance and CSR, Investment and risk management, organisational strategy and building strategic alliances. He is also professionally affiliated with organisations such as AeSI, CII, IETE, NIPM, RWSI, IDSA, NMF, USI, CENJOWS and SJM.
Apart from being the Board member in Air India, he also currently serves as Chairman at Board of Governors MNIT Jaipur, Honorary President at Indigenous Defence Equipment Exporters Association, Founder member in Society for Aerospace and Maritime Defence Studies, member in Governing Council at the Central Manufacturing Technology Institute and in various technology and MRO companies.
