Major General Alok Deb is a Visiting Senior Fellow at The Peninsula Foundation and Distinguished Fellow at the USI of India, Delhi. He is a Kargil veteran who has commanded an artillery regiment in Operation Vijay. He is a former Deputy Director General of the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (now Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses) and has commanded an Artillery Division.
